@TakkiMural OBS was designed for gameplay streamers. There were some complains that sound wasn't recorded (because users forgot to add source of the audio to the OBS scene, as far as I remember it was even before the "Multi-platform/Studio"), thus two global sources of the audio were added to the scenes by default - the Desktop audio and the Mic.
You can find these two global sources in the log, look at the example above:
Meanwhile, the Video Capture Device has its own audio:

Thus all three audio sources (Desktop/global, Mic/global and the one from the Video Capture Device/scene) will be recorded simultaneously until you disable Global sources of the audio in OBS main menu File > Settings > Audio > Global Audio Devices (group)
