Difficulties on recording with multiple tracks

Here's the log: https://obsproject.com/logs/ODkxJxrNAtz9rtwe
I've been trying to record on separate audio tracks, but no matter what it only seems to record track 1. I went through the output settings and made sure it was recording on the amount of tracks I needed but it still only ever plays track 1. It's not exactly end of the world if I can't get it to work but I would definitely like to.

This is incorrect.

The problem here is most likely that the media player used to play back the video doesn't support switching tracks.

Media players WILL NOT play multiple audio tracks at the same time without a lot of coaxing.
A long time ago someone recommended mkv as a way to save multiple audio tracks, i also thought that mp4 only saved the selected track.

Ancient versions of OBS default to *.flv, and *.flv supports only one track. Mp4 supports multiple tracks, but is not recommended as recording format, because if recording is aborted due to a crash, the whole file is lost because it wasn't finished. Mkv has both features: it's robust against crashes and supports multiple audio tracks. It's only drawback is slightly less support from media players and postprocessing software.

I'm using filmora wondershare for editing and I remember a little while ago accidentally getting multiple audio tracks but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it.

Then the video does contain the audio tracks. If your editor isn't loading them, it's an issue with the editor, not with obs or the file.

Ok. Thank you very much. I'll try to see what trouble shooting I can do with the editor.
