I've seen the "problem" I'm trying to solve addressed, but everyone approaches it in a way I know can't be done (streaming/recording different scenes in one instance of OBS)
My question is, can I turn particular *sources* separately for stream and record? As you can probably guess, I'm livestreaming with a greenscreen and keying an image over it. I'd like to be able to stream with the image, and record with just the greenscreen so I can create a much cleaner key in Premiere after the stream is over, and then upload the higher-quality keyed video to YT. (Just shooting with a dumb little L920, and it gets really cruddy when moving against the background key in the stream, but it would be much cleaner & sharper if I added the background image in post.)
If you need to see something to visualize what I'm talking about, the promo video on my YT channel is a fine example, youtube.com/johnhenryus
I'm guessing this probably won't fly, but it doesn't hurt to ask and I hadn't seen anyone suggesting this approach elsewhere in the forum.
Thanks!
