And why does my version of OBS (v0.522b) not have Software Capture?

Software capture is now split into Monitor Capture and Window capture.
Game Capture is the fastest method, pulling frames directly out of your GPU. However, it only works on DirectX 9 and higher games, and some games with hack shields block it.
Window Capture is software capture that is a type of screen capture. It works best with Aero enabled (on Vista/Win7), and it is designed to capture individual windows. With Aero enabled, it can even capture windows that have other windows covering them.
Monitor capture is the slowest method of capture, and works best with Aero disabled. It captures your whole screen.
Notes that Monitor Capture and Window capture cannot be used to capture fullscreen games. The games they capture must be in Windowed mode.
