Question / Help Desktop showing black screen for capturing Window as a source

Hello: Like many, I am having a black screen issue. Most of the fixes I see are for laptops. I am using a desktop with a GeForce GTX 1060 and an i7 on Win10.

OBS seems to work fine to capture full display sources, but I am trying to capture an record an application window as a source. I have been searching YouTube, online and the OBS Dischord for a solution and I have not found one yet. Any assistance/suggestions you could provide would be appreciated greatly.

the app you want to capture is build with Chrome and behave like all browsers
you cant record them until you disable hardware acceleration for this "Browser"
so you have to ask the developer to set this flag
