Desktop output audio extremely low when using S/PDIF as source.

I just downloaded OBS and trying to get my desktop output recorded properly - full volume.

When I use Digital Audio (S/PDIF) - optical cable - as my default sound output source. It records incredibly low volume when I playback the clip in VLC although it hitting -40dB range the same as my blue yeti during the recording session.

When I switched to a standard 3.5mm RCA cable (Speaker Audio High Definition) as my default sound output source. It sounds completely fine as expected when downloading OBS and launching it after installation.

Can someone help me work out this problem?
