Question / Help Desktop Black screen, need help.

Hello so I was told OBS is good for recording. Thought I would try it. Doesn't work.

I preview the game I want to record and the image displays correctly. However, when I start to record, stop it and look at the file. It's just black with my voice and game sounds.

Spec:
CPU: i7 950@4.2Ghz
GPU: R9 290
RAM: 16GB

I would like some help and a solution if possible. Thanks.

I don't see any particular problem in the log file, except in the first session where it didn't seem to find the game you were looking for, though in the rest it found it and appears to have succeeded. What media program are you using to play back the file? If you're using windows media player, I would recommend making sure you have the codecs to be able to view the file. Often people do not have the required codecs when thye have playback issues
