Hello people of the community / members.

I have been having troubles streaming with variety of games.

Games such as DotA 2, Counter Strike (Global Offensive and Source.) and last of all Minecraft ;D

Here is my logs or my specifications.

*More Details.* So I have a 1920x1200 screen. Yes it is really big. I used to stream at 1080p, which is VERY laggy for me. Then I have downgraded it to 720p, Still laggy for my streamers and me, 15 - 25 FPS.

Without OBS or Stream, My highest FPS is around 125 - 130.

In the log that I have posted. I would like help to see which settings are the best for me with no lag for the streamers and I.

EDIT: I have also looked around the Fourms and searched for Questions. The answers that I have got were inaccurate.

EDIT: sorry for my English. I always have troubles with it ;p for more details. My CPU + GPU can handle many new games out there.

Thank You
Tom

With an E8600, I wouldn't expect too much for streaming. I used to have an overclocked Q9650 @ 4GHz and was still BARELY able to push out a 720p stream on Starcraft II. Even then, it wasn't too enjoyable to play (laggy for me) or watch (choppy for viewers).

You might be able to get away with 600p or 540p with that CPU.

Is it possible for 480p though? I just want to stream at great or at least a good enough quality. I like 480p because it has almost but not the same quality as 720p.

It is possible to do 480p. I have a 16:10 monitor so my downscale options might not be the same as yours, but for me the 480p option is "2.50 (768x480)." I would try that, or something close to it, and then see if you have an easier time.

The quality is not that great but is smooth. I'm going try the next step now. 540p as you had said.

EDIT: I also have a 16:10 monitor also ;D

Quality is almost the same as 480p but is slightly little bit better. The only games that I would like to stream on is Dota 2 and CSGO.

Max FPS for CSGO with around 540p is 70 FPS, around 45-70 FPS which is slightly laggy but I would like to overcome to it to reach 720p. Once I get my budget, I can also upgrade all my computer parts. But this won't be for couple more years sadly.

You could use 600p if you want more quality, maybe with a slower game, and 532p or even 480p for high action games to reduce your lag.

Edit: I think your best bet is to just keep 532p for now until you upgrade your CPU.

I had tried 600p, my lowest fps was around 20 and my highest was around 70. *FPS was rolling crazy*

532p and 600p is such a huge difference. I would like to keep 532p for now until I can get my new PC.

When you just start streaming, the FPS bar goes down around 20 then 5 - 7 seconds later, It goes back to 30 - 70 FPS.

I will stick to
Problem is fixed.

Thanks for your help MannerRev. I would give u a billion cookies ;)

I actually never used XSplit or any streaming programs before due to them being expensive and it's hardships. It is all confusing. OBS has been such a great streamer that I have heard from, and from this problem being fixed on it first day in and already about an hour being fixed.

I hope this Development will stay successful and keep it schedule on top of it.

Thank You
Tom
