Question / Help Desktop Audio Randomly Not Recording

Recently over the last month or so my streams and recordings have randomly not picked up my desktop audio. OBS still shows that my desktop audio is being monitored and is unmuted, but my stream will hear nothing or my recordings will have no audio. The only thing that seems to fix this issue is restarting OBS until it decides to start working again (usually the next restart, but has taken as many as 3 times). The issue has happened while running OBS as an administrator and while not.

It always picks up my microphone.

Quick update, it just happened again. I had done a test recording before, it had sound, I started a recording without restarting OBS, and it had no sound again.

By any chance are you using the Schiit drivers for your Modi 3? There seems to be issues with them, and reverting back to standard windows 10 drivers seems to work better for people.

I'm using whatever I've been using for the last couple of months before I had this problem.

A quick update: I noticed that the issue mainly seems to happen if I hide / unhide my sources before streaming / recording. If I start streaming or recording first and then change scenes then the issue doesn't seem to happen.
