Question / Help Desktop Audio is lagging

Hello. I just finished up a stream and I noticed the recorded audio is lagging, it has never done that before. However, it is only the application audio that is lagging, the input from the microphone is in sync. And I used two different programs during my stream; an emulator and a steam-based game after that; both had audio that was not in sync.

I record video games, and was getting a 2 second audio delay. I'm a noob to this. I also have GeForce Experience. Installed it a few weeks ago. Guessing when you install it, it's always on. Just went through and turned it all off, and now no lag.

Hmm, I haven't installed that to my knowledge. :O Also, My lag is more like 0.5 - 1 sec. I also want to mention that I did a stream last night and everything was fine, but I also remember getting the latest OBS Studio update somewhere during this weekend (don't exactly remember when, if it was before last night's stream or after), I don't know if that has anything to do with it though.

Okay, issue persists to this day, but apparently I had Geforce Experience after all. I am going to try what you did.

omg latency is really bad.... this is the latest video
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/205969968

If you look at time code 01:33:50 ... look at her calling the cops... her voice is supposed to be heard only when she is holding the phone to her head... but the sound input of my microphone is synched... o.O ... I don't know how this could be...

EDIT: But the NES emulator from my stream before that doesn't seem to suffer from the same problem, but then again, the Game Boy game I played before that had the same issue...

Once again.. another example in the same video... at 01:36:20, the Sim City tune is supposed to play immediately at the same time as the follower announcment shows up, but it lags as well, so it feels like its definitely an OBS problem and not any of these other programs.

So I am inside Geforce Experience now... what exactly did you turn off? I can't really see anything adjustable here...

So I went back to check the latest stream, and again the sound seemed to be lagging........ but then I clicked on separate locations on the progress bar and suddenly the sound was synced again.. I even went back to where I checked the first and it had remarkably fixed itself o.O ..... Could it possibly be a Twitch playback-issue?
