Question / Help Desktop audio is heard more from the left than from the right.

hi, I have no idea wh, and I don't know when it started, but all the sound from my desktop setup is panned to the left. Or more specifc, the left part is heard 100% while the right part is maybe heard 60%. My voice is perfectly ok. Why could this happen? I looked through options in OBS and I don't find anything.

In my PC I hear everything perfectly. I have to listen to the streaming to notice the desktop sound is panned to the left.

There is a cogwheel for options next to the mixer above the desktop audio and mic/aux levels. In there, do you see a panning option? Make sure that option is in the middle. Otherwise see what happens when you adjust it right to compensate.

Yes, the panning is there, but I cannot move it. I Read it's a not implemented yet feature.

But it doesn't matter, because that couldn't help. I tried panning in the audio settings of my PC, even then I hear it more from the right than from the left in my headphones. If there is a monster screaming on the right side of the game, the scream is heard 60%. It seems it doesn't matter if I pan it, that scream will be still heard only 60%.

I tried putting it into mono, but that just solved the problem of annoyance of hearing the audio more from the left than from the right, but sounds coming from the right are still low volume.

Right click volume on taskbar > recording devices. Right click and enable the Stereo mix. From here go into its properties > levels tab. Check the balance is set correctly.

If it was already balanced correctly, then go into OBS studio, mute your desktop audio, then add an Audio Input Capture, and select stereo mix. If you still have the same problem, then you can go back into the stereo mix recording device and adjust the balance there.

Thanks, Waistless, I tried but it doesn't work.
First, I don't find any "stereo mix" but I assumed you were talking about playback devices and I assumed you meant my default playback device. I checked levels and everything is ok. As I told you, my computer has the levels perfectly. The problem is the streaming in Twitch, where my mic is ok but the desktop audio is panned.

I tried adding an Output capture (You put input but I guess you mean output) and selected my default device, but the same problem is there.

I can pan my default output device, but then I don't hear it properly, and as I told you, the right side is still lowered. It would just mask the problem, and then I don't hear my computer properly.

I think you need to change your headphones. I also facedthe same troublewith my headphones. I tried everything, but it was some. Then my colleague suggested me to switch to a new pair of headset. I looked ina few shops fo ra headset, but it was very expensive. I searched online over few websites for offers and ordered affordable full size headphones from SoundMAGIC. My new headphones work very well with OBS and I get clear sound. I am very happy with my new headphones.

That is not the problem. At all. The sound works perfecly in my computer. It doesn't in Twitch.
And that just sounded like cheap advertisement.

Ayy boy right click desktop audio and press advanced audio properties and balace the desktop audio and also check mono . Bam its done.
