Question / Help Desktop audio doesn't get recorded?

Then your desktop doesn't produce any sound. Thus nothing to record.

Run program that will playback the sound on your PC. For example fr-043 from Breakpoint 2010. Make new Scene Collection. Add 'Audio Capture Source' to the Scene.

Which would I add? Audio Output or Audio Input?

'Audio Output Capture', of course. It captures all sounds that device output (to speakers, for example).

Right, this is demo. It renders some 3D objects and has sound.

Playback the video file by VLC Player, for example... You cannot record even fr-043 demo normally, don't you? If not - you need to show your PC to someone who knows how things works. I don't think that you'll be able to resolve the issue by yourself.
