Hello, i have lots of old images saved in the Create/Select Source box and was wondering how i delete all the old images that i do not need.

I have done that but what i am saying this is part like the bit wear its go existing ones
or is that just every thing whats on my live now?

Yes, that lets you create a reference to any existing source, so if "Image 2" is in use in any of your scenes, you can create a reference to it in another scene. References are very cheap - it simply points to the existing source so there is no additional resource usage.
