I know theres always delay between the gameplay and microphone or music. What I am using is,
-Elgato Gaming Capture HD
-Astro A40's
I would like to know the delay for the mic to the gameplay as well as another big issue...I stream music from itunes while I play and wondering how to delay the music as well for the stream...?

You can use a Virtual Audio Cable repeater with a high buffer to delay your music. For the delay itself, you will have to test and see what sounds good. We cant give you some crazy number and it will sync up your devices ;(
The delay is caused by the Elgato device doing stuff with its Input. You might wanna ask Elgato if they know how much delay this involves.

Yea he could try using a negative time offset. Im just not sure about how much delay we are talking here. 1-2 sec? or more?

when using VAC...doesn't seem to work though. More of an echo than a delay. I seen many streamers play their xbox and their mic and music from their computer are in sync. They said they did not have to do anything to it. One stream said that due to him using a internal capture card (avermedia live gamer hd). is that the reason why he has no delay or have to fix a delay because its a internal capture card?

Yea the Elgato device introduces the delay because it has to compress the input before it can be sent over usb 2.0 (especially on higher resolutions) Most internal capture devices should give you zero delay between audio and video. For USB devices I only know of the Black Magic Intensity series to be good with syncing Audio and Video though they are sketchy when it comes to setting everything up.
I cant talk about the new Live Gamer Portable though, as I didnt hear any clear reviews yet.

Yeah I might just buy the avermedia live gamer hd internal since many streamers said they did not have to download outside programs JUST to delay mic/music/and whatever on the desktop
