Completely wasted money. FX 6350 is outdated and way too underpowered.

Depending on what GPU your current gaming system has you are better of streaming using your GPU

My current build is i7 7700k 16gb ddr4 with evga 1070 ftw2. I can mostly stream 720 @30 but I do run into performance issues in game, not a big loss, but definitely noticeable. I have tried gpu as encoder and similar issues, i don't think 1070 is powerful enough, 1080ti will be the ultimate sweet spot, but for the price of that gpu I'm better off getting a dedicated pc, if I can locate one on Craigslist around 800 or less. What should I look for in a dedicated streaming pc?

Getting a used GPU or using an old one is probably best here same goes for a case.

Had more text but deleted it by accident. tldr. 7700k should be suitable for 720p60 in pretty much every game. NVENC does barely impact any ingame performance ever since GTX 770 which is also the first gen of NVENC capable GPUs.

And if looking into a dedicated streaming rig then a system with AMD Ryzen will offer best price to performance.

Thanks man. And yeah I already have a 1060 6gb and a 600w thermaltake psu
That saves you over $100 so you are below 550 and can still get a cheap case
