Question / Help Dedicated multi-input broadcaster build recommendations?

I am looking at improving my streaming system. My goal is to have a dedicated machine that can take 2 separate HDMI feeds in and then use OBS to switch between the feeds in separate streams, while broadcasting on twitch. I would like the capture cards to have some sort of pass through, that way I can also view it on the monitors while playing. Or if that is not possible I can just clone the displays. Does anyone have any hardware recommendations on capture cards that could satisfy these requirements or share rig specs if you have done something similar?

Capture Cards - just take whatever is compatible with OBS and avaliable for you.
In terms of audio routing: analog with a small mixer between them is still the best, but also expensive, requires a buttload of cables etc.
The rig should not be extremly powerful, a modern i5 or the FX 8350 would do the trick. GPU - depends on what you wanna use, but generally onboard is enough for that type or work, having an Intel iGPU will open Quicksync and having an Nvidia GPU will open NVenc, both are hardware encoders with horrible quality at low bitrate, but they reduce the CPU load really well. Not needed, but nice to have.
4GB of RAM is enough, dualchannel as usual.
Expect some delay on each source (video and audio) since capture cards cant work in realtime and if you have analog audio - this will have a different delay. So fiddling around with the synchronisation of all sources is expected and can be done with OBS.
If you think about controlling the system while playing etc - get something like OBS remote or Roccat Power Grind on a mobile device, that will make it easier.
