My laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad W520 - With Nvidia Quadro 1000M - Windows 10

II'm thinking of downgrading to windows 7.

OBS only crashes when I use the zoom screen capture

Downgrading to windows 7 won't solve anything.

Where did you go to update your intel and nvidia graphics drivers?

Yes, both drivers are already the latest available. I installed the Intel and Nvidia driver Support Assistant

I also looked for the drivers on the Lenovo website but I didn't find the Intel driver for the Thinkpad W520 model on windows 10. So I used the Support Assistant programs

The driver could be corrupted
Get DDU and uninstall the driver

Then reboot and install the latest driver

deFrisselle,

I did the procedure you asked for.

1 - uninstalled the drivers with the DDU
2 - I had to go to safe mode and install the new drivers. I installed only the Nvidia one because the Intel one did not find drivers for windows 10. Neither on the manufacturer's website, nor on the Lenovo website.
3 - It didn't work, in addition to the OBS crash my deckboard stopped working too.

So I decided to format the PC keeping windows 10, but I downloaded the newest version from the microsoft website.

1 - I did not install any driver, neither intel nor nvidia, I left only the drivers that came with windows.
2 - it worked for 20 minutes, before it didn't even work for 2 minutes.
3 - That is, it is crashing after 20 minutes of use, I will attach the error log attached.

I suggested installing windows 7, because on the intel website there are drivers only for windows 7, 8 and 8.1. but Harold said that it wouldn't work. But I’m willing to migrate if you think it solves

Yeah, OBS doesn't support Windows 7
The 8.1 drivers should work under Windows 10
Is it possible to get an OBS log
What are you using for encoding

Guys, an update, with the new windows 10 the system has not crashed since yesterday. I did a test yesterday of a meeting in the 4h zoom and it didn't crash anymore. So I think I will keep the PC with these standard Windows drivers. What do you think?

Driver 8.1 worked on windows 10 but the crash continued, and yet another problem appeared: it wouldn't open my deckboard.

As for the encoder, if you can help me with that it would be great. I have these two video cards. Intel and Nvidia. Can I use Nvidia for OBS? It is a QUADRO 1000M . Sorry if it is a very simple question but I am a layman.

The Quadro 1000M is too old to have an encoder, from what I found So, your options are the Intel 3000 chipset encoder or CPU encoding Best to use Intel
Try the Auto Configurator, see what settings it comes up with

If it's not broken, don't fix it Keep it as it is since it's not crashing
