Question / Help dazzle dv100, windows 7, wii

im at a loss as to what im doing wrong. ive followed numerous guides to try and get game audio to come in off the wii. furthermore, im also attempting to get microphone audio to come in as well.

the only way ive been able to get audio to come in off the wii is to run the red/white cables to the blue line-in port on the pc and set OBS to use that line in. audio quality is superb then.

what i want is to be able to stream my wii with audio and still use my USB mic.

is this possible? the only other solution i can see is to split the line-in jack into 2 and use an analog mic and hope the level comes in good. i tried using VAC but could not get it to work with OBS. any help would be appreciated. please advise what files i need to post (i saw mentions of log files in others but am unsure where they got theirs from or how to get it).

running windows 7 64 bit. capture card is dazzle dv100 and im using the standard red/white/yellow cables on my wii.

a secondary problem would be that the video, when maximized, looks terrible. i get a better pic off my CRT tube tv in the other room.

Send the audio through the line-in, and set your Desktop Audio device to be the Line-In port and your Microphone to be your USB headset mic...that should do it, I believe.

As for the picture quality, it's probably bad because it's interlaced. Check out this guide for deinterlacing; viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1771

er, you cant do that. the line-in device is strictly input, not output and it does not show in the playback screen.

i wish it was that easy :\

messed around with it some more. amarectv doesnt pick up audio. the only software that picks up audio with no issues is AMCAP. the pinnacle studio cd that came with the card installed it and before i uninstalled it, i played around with amcap but could not get a good picture.

cant get a good picture out of amarectv either. i get a much clearer picture off my CRT Tv vs any software ive used and with the recommended settings for this card.

Odd, I have an option for me to add my Line-In as an audio source.

You can create a virtual line in VAC and forward sound from the Line-In to the Virtual Line, and the Virtual Line should appear in OBS for you to stream.

or use the loopback feature in Windows that allow you to Listen to any Line/Mic, to an Output.

Or use the DShow Audio Plugin

when you state that you have an option to add it in as a line in source, are you talking from within OBS? or are you referencing the playback menu you get when you right click the speaker in the lower right hand of your desktop (the menu with playback, recording, sounds, communications)?

in VAC(i have the latest version installed), there is no option in..

well scratch all that, i think i have it working now. here's what i did:

in the audio control panel, i allowed the line-in to be listened too off the VAC line that was created. i set OBS to VAC1, microphone to usb, started stream and WALAA! i can hear game sound now, see video AND talk on my mic.

i will likely split the video signal out to a separate tv for better video until i can solve the issue as to why the video looks pretty crappy in full screen
