Date Time changed on iPad Pro when connected to iMacPro via cable

Running macOS Mojave 10.14.6 and connected iPad Pro 5th generation running 14.7.1. The date time on both the iMac and the iPad are correct, but when I connect iPad to iMac via cable, and then start up OBS Studio 27.0.1(64 bit) the date/time displayed in the upper left corner of iPad changes to 9:41 AM Tue Jan 9 which is obviously incorrect - date/time displayed on iMac Pro is unchanged at 10:46:48 AM Sat Jul 31. When I close OBS Studio, date time on iPad returns to match time on iMac Pro.

Can someone explain behavior and suggest a fix?

Well good to see that I am not the only one. This seems like a major security issue, I mean if OBS can corrupt the date/time on the iPad, what else is possible?
