So I'm trying to record a playthrough of Darksiders, but for some reason every time I try to open the game with OBS recording that game crashes. It works just fine when it's not recording. Any idea how I can fix this?
When the game crashes with game capture, it almost always means you have a conflicting program open. Having other capture programs open such as fraps will do this, graphics tools such as afterburner can do this sometimes, graphics mod programs such as sweetfx can do this, and programs with overlays such as teamspeak and mumble can do this when their overlays are enabled.
OBS is the only capture program I have... The only issue that I think may be a problem is that I'm using a laptop. I looked at the thread for it and did the thing with the nvidia settings, but it's still not working. Here is my log...
UPDATE: I managed to get it to where the game runs up until the end of the first splash screen, then it freezes up. After that I have to kill it with task manager. OBS records the audio, but not the video. Here is the "current" log if it helps any... I have no idea what any of it means.
Is this Darksiders 1 or 2? I was able to streaming Darksiders 1 a while ago and game capture worked perfectly. If it's Darksiders 2, I can install the game and give it a try.
The first one. I think it has to do with the last update, because I'm getting black screens on my other games too. However, Darksiders is the only one so far that freaks out.
