Question / Help Dark Souls 3-Game Recording Lag

So, I've been recording some Dark Souls 3 gameplay footage but as I've played, I've watched the framerate go back and forth from 52 to around the high 30s. My recording isn't really long and I haven't uploaded it to youtube as I'm wanting to make sure the amount of frame rate issues are minimized before actually doing that. Any idea as to what OBS settings would work for my system so the amount of lag or frame rate skip I experience is minimal?
My system specs
Intel I5 6400 2.7 GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3GB
8 GB DDR4 RAM

Ignore the prior post. Turns out uninstalling and reinstalling the game plus restarting my computer fixed the game's issues (I later found out it wasn't OBS so much as the game).
