Question / Help Custom rtmp Server Not Connecting

I'm a camgirl on streamate, attempting to stream with OBS. I have no issues connecting with FMLE, OBS Classic and SM broadcast(streaming program from streamate.) Every time I attempt to stream with OBS, it doesn't connect before the stream key times out.

Am I doing something wrong?

The connection is being rejected, presumably you aren't authenticating correctly. Does Streamate use a stream key to connect, or a user name and password?

It uses a stream key. I put it in just like I do in FMLE, OBS Classic and SM broadcast. It works perfectly everywhere but OBS Studio.

I edited your post to remove the picture, just to make sure nobody tried to use those credentials. It does look like both the FMS URL and stream key have a short lifespan, but I assume you're trying to use them before they get changed to something else. The error in the log is:

15:43:06.556: HandShake, client signature does not match!

Which makes me think maybe you're updating one part but not the other, e.g. you change the stream key but not the FMS URL or vice versa?

I change them both each time, since they both change every time I hit start my show. I've tried at least 10 times to connect with different urls and stream keys each time. The log shows the same error every time I try.

Could you post or link a log from OBS Classic where it was able to connect successfully? I'd like to see if there are any obvious differences between that and what I'm seeing in the Studio log (other than connecting vs not connecting).

Sorry for making you dig up a log from Classic. The program author thinks he may know what's going wrong with Studio and is making a test build for you to try out shortly.

Hi there, I think it may be a bug certain servers have when processing a certain string within the RTMP metadata, there's a slight difference in what studio does versus classic.

I've PMed you a version with it changed back to the way classic does it (view your "conversations")

Unzip somewhere, run bin/32bit/obs32.exe, and then let me know if it works.

I'm having a similar problem, where it usually doesn't work on first try, but trying immediately again usually does the trick (streaming to Adobe Media Server 5). Could I have this version as well to see if this fixes my issue as well?

Hello.I am having the same problem. I can broadcast on streamate with FMLE, streamate's encoder and OBS Classic, but with OBS studio it just stays in CONNECTING.Can i have that version as well? Thank you !

It looks like unfair business from the side view, but at the core - dev hasn't plans to host night builds of the Studio. You need to wait on release.
