Custom loop points for media which is set to loop

Would it be possible to add a facility into OBS so that if a media file is added and set to loop continuously, the user can set the start and end points for the loop?

As an example, I use a music file in one of my scenes which has a little intro section before going into the main loop. It'd be great if I could tell OBS to start the loop after that intro so that when I first enter the scene, it plays the intro section, then will continuously loop the section of the track I've set to loop.

Hope that makes sense, if not, I can try clarify better.

In the absence of that, you might have two videos, and have OBS do the (conveniently placed) transition from the intro to the loop. If the only suitable transition is in the middle of the loop, then the intro contains the first part of the loop up to that point. And of course the loop video starts there, and does the same transition itself to the first part, which is actually at the end of the file.

I imagine it as making a literal loop out of paper or string, and then "rolling the loop" by some degrees. So it's still a loop, but the obvious loop point is not the actual entry point, and other things are adjusted to make that work.

Anyway, to do the automatic transition in OBS:

Of course, you'd change the transition and *both* durations to match what's in the loop.
