Hi More Knowledgeable Members,

I'm investing in a new video card as I want to make an upgrade, and start streaming regularly, but I was mildly curious if perhaps I should be investing in a CPU upgrade as well. I've had problems in the past with my stream either lagging terribly (or me lagging terribly), or the stream just stopping entirely. I currently have a Geforce GTX 660 Ti, and an i5-3550 3.3GHz Quad Core. I plan on upgrading the video card to an RX 470, but is the processor too lousy for the job?

Thanks,
Cap

The CPU might not handle Overwatch but it should handle most other games. Its pretty safe to wait until you have the new GPU and see. But actually, GPUs, assuming they have some minimum performance level (that your 660Ti already exceeds), don't really affect OBS, they only affect your game. So the new GPU will make your game smoother but OBS will be the same.
