I was made aware of this by my twitch viewers (I watch the stream broadcasting from my desktop on my laptop and handle twitch chat on that system since my game is using one monitor on my main system and OBS is using the other, but have the speakers on both systems switched off whilst streaming to prevent my mic capturing any game audio from my desktop or any stream audio or notification sounds my laptop might be playing back, so didn't realise it was happening at first) - and I have subsequently observed it when replaying the video on twitch and in my backups folder where I save copies of all my streams.
For some reason, at the beginning of my streams, the audio is fine, with no echo. However, gradually, an echo becomes noticeable on my voice, with the delay on the echoed audio increasing steadily as the stream continues. At first it's not even detectable, but over time it ends up several seconds out of synch with the copy of my voice that is in synch with the video, and it becomes very much as if I am talking over myself.
I've confirmed this ONLY happens whilst streaming, as any video I directly pre-record in OBS without streaming, for later upload to youtube, is absolutely fine and free of this issue. However the stored recordings on my HD of my streams all have the issue.
My desktop audio streams fine and is perfectly in synch with the video capture from the game window. No echo. It is also in synch with the initial, non-echoing audio from my microphone, and both video captures are in synch.
I have only one microphone, my camera has no inbuilt one. So it's not an issue with overlapping microphone captures.
Just as an example to communicate the kind of effect I'm describing, it's exactly the kind of effect, with one copy of the audio getting progressively more out of synch with the other, that you get when you do the following (See attached image)
