Question / Help CS:GO Var spikes when streaming?

When I try to stream cs:go, my var goes from about 0.6ish up to about 1-2 when I go live. It's not my ping, just the var. I have 5 mb/s up, bitrate is set to 2000 with 25 fps downscaled to 720p. I have an amd fx-6300, and amd r9 280x.

So what would be the cause of the var spiking like that? I've messed with the bitrate and fps and it still does it.

Doesn't var track server frame time variance?
That's what I thought, so that's why I'm confused. It's the var on top of the net_graph, not on the bottom. I've noticed it also goes up to about 2 when bringing up the scoreboard, so maybe it has something to do with my pc itself?

The additional CPU load from streaming is probably causing it. I wouldn't worry too much as 1-2ms variance is probably not noticeable.

I've noticed that if I minimize OBS on my 2nd monitor instead of leaving it up, it runs much better. Is that a common problem?

Edit: Just disabled DisplayFusion and it seems much better. Does OBS not work well with DisplayFusion?

I use DisplayFusion myself and haven't noticed any issues in particular. It is possible though, DF does hook processes and may be interfering somehow.
