A game that used to stream just fine is now suddenly crashing/going-unresponsive as soon as I click "Start Streaming" in OBS.
The game is Titanfall, and when I initially tried streaming it, and I did this several times, I had no issues whatsoever. In fact I was able to run Titanfall on Ultra, while using Mumble, and Firefox(Gmail, Google Voice, and Pandora), on top of the 3 Launchers I typically keep open (Steam, Origin and Glyph).
One day, Titanfall went stupid, and started giving me this error message at the main screen that said "failed to obtain token from Origin". I could click 'Ok' but would be sent in an infinite loop back to that error, I had to force quit to get out. Long story short, after trying 100 things EA suggested, I finally just tried restarting my computer - voila. Working again.
However when I went back to try streaming, from that point forward whenever I pressed 'Start Streaming' in OBS, Titanfall goes unresponsive or crashes outright.
I uninstalled Titanfall, Origin, and OBS. I did my best to remove all traces of all 3 programs from my computer, then did a clean install of all 3. I was almost positive that would sort it out, sadly it did not.
