Question / Help Crashing out of nowhere when changing scene collections

I've tried rebuilding my scene collections and profiles from scratch, but at some point every time I try to change scene collections I get a crash. I tried deleting sources to try to narrow it down but to no avail. I included a log and a crash log

Good luck getting help. I have the same problem and devs are useless because they are all a bunch of code copy/paste amateurs who don't know how to fix anything. That's the difference between commercial software where actual professional coders work on it, and open project where every idiot who thinks he knows how to code can "contribute" to the project.

I'm sorry if you've had issues with it, but I've been using OBS with little to no issues for almost 3 years, and have had help from Jim and the gang on the minor issues in the past, I can still stream with it, so I'm not switching until I can't do what I need to. I'm sorry your experience has not been as good

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Anyway, back to the issue, does this happen when you switch to/from a specific scene collection or is it random?

OBS certainly wasn't made by copy pasting code and the idea that it was is frankly offensive to Jim and the numerous contributors who have invested their time and energy into this project. Given how OBS has millions of users who are using it without issues, the actual defect rate is extremely low for software of this complexity.

In any case, I've already tried to reproduce the issue in this thread with no luck, hence the lack of updates in the thread. I'm guessing there's a leaking reference somewhere but I haven't been able to find it.

It's random, could be blank scene collection to blank scene collection, blank to built, built to built.

Is there anything else I can provide or try that could help you guys figure it out

Blank to blank should never crash as there's no references. If you're up for it I can try and debug it directly on your system via teamviewer (remote desktop sharing). Stop by the community chat and ask for R1CH.
