Question / Help Crashing on startup and removing audio driver

Hi, i've used OBS regularly for the past few months but it will not open today. Could you please help?

Every time that i try to open it, it crashes immediately and i'm pretty sure that its also removing my audio driver or doing something to mess up my audio- it causes Logic and Ableton to say that they don't have an audio driver anymore (but they will be fixed if i restart them and don't try to open OBS again).

The audio driver problem started a couple days ago. The crash upon open started happening today. Whats going on with this? Anybody else having this issue? How can i fix it?

I'm using iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) with OS Sierra 10.12.6. Should i try updating to the most current OS?

Pictures of the first message and messages from logic and ableton are attached. Also 2 pictures of successive failure messages that appear after i try reopening OBS a few times.

Heres the crash report

Thanks, Dan

Afraid I don't have or use Logic or Ableton, so I've little specific to offer in this case.

As with general problems with OBS crashing on startup, have you moved the obs-studio folder from ~/Application Support to the desktop and attempted to restart the app? Sometimes corrupted scene/profile/prefs files can cause it.
