crash while remuxing from mkv to mp4 [31.0.2]

no other error message other than the crash.
error/crash seems to be introduced in the newest 31.0.2 version, was not present in 31.0.1 version.
normal .mkv capture files that captured and work otherwise just fine, large 15g files fyi.

This is a regular log. If you are getting a "whoops OBS has crashed" message you'd need to send a crash log, otherwise you'll need to describe what exactly is happening.

You can find OBS crash reports in: %APPDATA%\obs-studio\crashes\ folder (or from main menu Help > Crash Reports)

um. it just crashed while remuxing the .mkv recording file, nothing else.
this has not happened after this incidence.

I might find the crash log (not part of normal logs).

This is crash in the Browser source of OBS (in your case likely docked pane). The regular log file you posted earlier is normal log after the crash (not from the session that is crashed). Anyway, regular log after the crash still shows next errors:
Code:
06:31:36.436: Dock id 'obs-multi-rtmp-dock' already used! Duplicate library?
06:31:36.436: Failed to initialize module 'obs-multi-rtmp.dll'
that itself says about 3rd party plugin named "obs-multi-rtmp.dll". Make sure that the plugin is properly installed and compatible with the version of OBS you are using right now.

About the crash itself - your PC may ran out of RAM (in Task Manager of the OS it is possible to monitor resources usage when OBS running).

Well now I did nothing and this happened again. no the system is not running out of resources/memory (mem 42% of 16gb). well I did re-install everything including obs, now without the multi-rtmp thing. still crashes at cef. the multi-rtmp has never crashed btw fyi. if you suggest some fixes, make sure they are reasonable. now they are not. just normal tech support non-related fix suggestions btw (reboot your computer, reboot your program style fixes suggestions etc).

do not put any blame on others when its on you. fix your software obs. cop out. others actually can pc, not what you say.
so fix your browser dock plugin feature obs. cheers, I hope your program works perfectly sometime next time.

It is the browser crashing but unless you have any browser docks added, something else is triggering that. Go to your logs folder and grab the log from when the crash happened. The crash was listed: Date/Time: 2025-05-06, 21:50:51, so the log would be the first one that is timestamped before that.

Yes there are two browser docks. which means the browser dock extension of obs is broken. my normal browsers dont crash that way.
whatever you are doing with the chromium embedded framework is not doing so well. Otherwise vanilla obs. those browsers have therefore been crashing the obs before, even with all the extra plugins. before it was just one browser dock with all the plugins, now its two without any other plugins.

The log I mentioned would still be helpful.

and I included two logs, as the two links, in the new post?

those two logs are the "previous log" and "previous crash log". just after the crash. I dont know what you are even talking about.

well this might help. I wonder why the various log upload options did not get this. how about just one log. including everything. also crashes. no more confusion of different files different uploads whatever.

the error seems to be presented in these lines:

Just an error in Capture Card data transfer to the PC. In this case users experience visual glitches in the video feed. Itself it shouldn't crash the browser thread of OBS. But you have the one crashed:
