Bug Report Crash when Preview / Start Stream are pressed

Whenever I press these two buttons, OBS crashes =( The error file seemed a bit different from the ones I found when searching, so I'm not entirely sure what to do since I'm pretty computer inept.

edit: already updated DirectX and reinstalled OBS 2 or 3 times.

I believe you need to update DirectX and/or update graphics card drivers.

Are you using a laptop with an Intel integrated GPU by chance?

Again, I'm a bit computer inept, but yes I have a laptop (intel i7) so I think I do. Trying to install DirectX just tells me that it's completely up to date.

Can you type DxDiag in the start menu search bar, and then go to the Display tab? What does it say next to "Chip Type" for the Device line on the upper left hand side?

If you are looking for an Xsplit alternative, you can look into FFSplit as well. It's still lighter on the system than XSplit
