Crackly Audio with OBS trying to record multiple scenes

In the process of setting up OBS to better stream and record, my latest problem is that one of my scenes is always recording audio worse than the others.

It isn't always the same scene, but one audio always ends up sounding crackly. I am using source record to separately record gameplay and facecam while I stream and also record on a third separate scene. The audio on the streaming scene is usually find, but the audio on either facecam and mic scene or gameplay scene ends up sounding crappier. Is this just a matter of my PC not being powerful enough to record all at once? Is there something else I can do? I'd like the mic and gameplay audio recorded separately, and at least facecam recorded on its own as well, for editing purposes after a stream to put on Youtube or TikTok.

Thanks for any help.

Possibly. Hard to tell with just what you said here. If you're streaming and recording different things, then that's a separate encoding for each one, and each encoding takes a lot of work.

Are you using the x264 encoder? That puts a big load on the CPU, at the same time that it has to do everything else too.

Or are you using a GPU-based one? If available, the GPU encoder offloads that specific job to a dedicated bit of hardware that does nothing else anyway. If what's what you're doing, what GPU do you have, and how many simultaneous encoders does it have?
