It is quite obvious after much tracking down in the room, that there is no EM interference from say fish tanks, bad switches, or faulty light sockets. Ear phone connections and mic connections are all tested and no shorts or solder problems. There is something definite wrong when Casting is done. It comes through both when casting out and just listening to another person casting. Many of us on Vaughn use OB.
But, it is not always just on OB.....Skype audio has suddenly turned to trash also. In fact, a lot worse static.
What is noticed, is that the static kicks in when there is a rise in the sound level as a note or sound is being played or voice is used...It tends to crack the loudest at the peaks. But you will notice lighter clicks across the sound spectrum.
When no sound is present, there are no clicks or static until sound level rises. . The clicks tend to be a microsecond behind the sound peak causing them.
Sound drivers and mix controls have been replaced, updated, Re boot machines...full virus control in computer used. Nothing seems to work. Stripped, and cleaned, then re installed fresh OB and other software does no good.
I might add, that using the Corel video and Cyberlink video recording does not have the clicks. So, we have mostly tracked it down to streaming issues, especially since most of us use OB, ManyCam, and Skype. Rather that shushing the problem off as local, we would appreciate some interest in what might be causing the problem with in the internet streaming.
