Question / Help Crackling/popping sound ingame after OBS got installed.

I installed OBS to record a quick video of in-game content. Directly after I installed OBS I experienced a crackling/popping sound in-game. The sound was not there before I installed OBS. The sound is there even if OBS is not running. The sound is there even if OBS is uninstalled. The sound is there after re-installing OBS.

Installing OBS also changed other sound settings. The sound overall got a lot louder and sounds really low quality.

The sound is not there while I use headset but I do not wish to be forced to use headset constantly.

Any tip on how to proceed?

Sorted it. Uninstalled OBS again, updated sound drivers. Problem was still there. Downgraded sound drivers and updated them again and it sorted the issue.
