Crackling noise when sending to Facebook live

I have a Canon camcorder connected to my laptop via an Elgato encoder. When streaming to Facebook live there is crackling noise on the live feed. The recorded version in my camera does not have noise.

Suggestion would be appreciated.

Have you confirmed you are using the same audio sampling rate across all audio devices (not mix 44.1 & 48KHz)?
What effects/filters might you be using?
if your PC powerful enough for the task of real-time video encoding?
Have your read the OBS setup guides from this site, and if using latest OBS v26, have you followed the instructions regarding AAC audio?

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...
