Cracking sound when uploading .wav media

Hello,
I uploaded .wav 5 sec file as a transition sound for my windows, when this sound playing I can hear "cracking" sounds which are very unusual for .wav

What sample rate do you have in OBS, 44.1k or 48k?
Are the wav's the same samplerate?

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

If you keep the media in memory (don't unload) and play that scene twice, is it better then?

I changes .wav to .mp3

My thinking was that time is often "short" for pre-buffering to nearby-instant-play-start of bandwidth consuming formats like wav.
Glad if .mp3 works for you that way. :)
