Question / Help CPU Usage suddenly too high

Hello and sorry for my bad English.

I normaly run OBS Studio with x264 and medium Preset.

CPU Usage max. 60%

And now, same Settings, my CPU Usage go to 80-100%.

Dual PC Setup - Streaming PC (only Streaming)
CPU: i7 7700k (not OC)
Capture Card: Avermedia Live Gamer HD


I didn't Change anything...

If my Capture Card shows the Desktop from my Gaming PC - 85% CPU.
No game running... With game 90-100% CPU Usage.

Has anyone else this issue? Or a Solution?

Ok can someone tell me, where is issue?

Same PC - Same Settings - Windows all the same - Why?

4500 Bitrate
CPU: Present Medium

2017-12-04 15-14-53.txt = Normal


2017-12-05 00-20-41.txt = Now and not good



I don´t know why...

Have you checked task manager to see what processes are using CPU?

Yes I checked it and OBS takes the CPU (only 1% other Programms).

if I remove the HDMI cable from the Capture Card and plug it back in I have little cpu usage (25%).

After a restart, the CPU goes back to + 60%. And only the desktop is displayed and not played.

Sounds like the capture card drivers are using the CPU then. You may want to take it up with Avermedia or check you have the latest drivers.
