Question / Help CPU required to encode at MAX

Hi, I was mostly wondering what kind of CPU horsepower I would need to encode at these settings. My current i7-8700k can't handle this at all.

• 3840x2160 (4k) Canvas and unscaled;
• 6000 bitrate
• x264 encoder
• slower preset (the highest quality)
• Recording both locally and streaming

I am planning on buying the Intel i9-7960x (16 core 32 threads) hoping to be able to run this. Thanks for replies.

Neither a Threadripper nor i9 can handle 1080p Slower, let alone 4K, they start to choke at past Slow. Also Very Slow is the highest. Slow->Slower->Very Slow

And 6000Kbps for 4k? This would look like absolute ... you have unrealistic expectations of current technology.
