Question / Help CPU Q6600 as Dedicated Stream Machine ?

Hmm, it might be very near its limit. I used a Q8400 overclocked to do 720p/30 on veryfast. I never tried 45 to be honest, but 60 was too much for it. The Q6600 is a bit less powerful so it might be that 720p/30 will be its limit too.
 
nah not really ... the cpu architecture doesnt change

if you want a dedicated streaming machine i would plan to get an i5 at least, so in your case a new system

im not sure since the cpu is really old but if im not wrong the q9200 was an notebook cpu anyway so its even worse when it comes to performance
