Question / Help CPU problems with OBS Studio

hi folks, first of all, my specs:

  • GTX 1080ti

  • i7 6700k

  • 16GB ram
Three days ago my stream worked great. I'm streaming 1080p and 60fps. Even Wildlands ran good on ultra. Yesterday evening my stream started stuttering and my CPU usage of OBS increased to 40-60%. I checked CPU preset, it's set to veryfast. When changing to ultrafast the CPU workload is very good (below 15%) but my stream looks like a gif, pixelated and not good at all. What's more worse, my stream looks not good now even if I turn back to very fast preset.
The preview in OBS Studio looks crisp and sharp. Three days ago a friend of mine checked the stream and told me it looks like he was playing it himself.

Sound settings are default to my w10 settings, so no encoding here. Bitrates are 3500 (I got 40k upload). I also installed OBS Studio now.

What can I check to fix?

Try downscaling to 720p. You'll never be able to stream 1080p60 at 3500kbps even if your computer can encode it, which it looks like you can't.

I appreciate any help, but as I stated above: Two days ago I streamed Ghost Recon: Wildlands on ultra settings and 1080p and 60fps with no problems at all. Ingame ran smooth, stream was crisp and sharp for every viewer.

Post the log file from that stream, and maybe we can compare it to the one you posted above and see what changed.

Your old log is from OBS Classic, not OBS Studio, so it would be hard to compare the two. I hesitate to recommend OBS Classic but maybe as a test install it and see if it works well still.

DUDE 1080p60 NEEDS AT LEAST 8000kbps to look ANY good (with most encoders)(starting looking good at 20000kbps) -> SO FORGET ABOUT IT with 3500kbps or lower

3500kbps is ok for 720p30 - maybe 720p60 (but even then i would consider 5000kbps)
