CPU overload with low CPU usage

Every time that i record i get skipped frames, so i used the analyzer to analyze my logs and it stated that my computer was experiencing CPU overload. I only get about 1 to 3 percent overload but it really effects my recordings. I used task manager to see if i was getting high CPU usage but i was only getting about 20 percent usage and my video card was around 50 percent.

1. If available via Windows Update, update to Windows 10 2004 per https://obsproject.com/blog/five-simple-tips-for-new-streamers
2. Run OBS as Admin
3. At least one of your audio devices has a sample rate that doesn't match the rest. This can result in audio drift over time or sound distortion. Check your audio devices in Windows settings (both Playback and Recording) and ensure the Default Format (under Advanced) is consistent. 48000 Hz is recommended.
OBS Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
Realtek HD Audio 2nd output (Realtek(R) Audio): 48000 Hz
Microphone (UMC202HD 192k): 44100 Hz
4. Uncheck the box for Psycho Visual Tuning in the Output Settings.

It looks like you are still on Windows release 1909.

Set your gaming monitor to 120 Hz and cap the game(s) at 120 FPS. It easier to get 60 FPS out 120 than 144.
If that doesn't help, set your Output Resolution to 1280x720 or change your Common FPS to 30 or both.

How many hard drives do you have?
You are recording on the windows drive.
I prefer to record on a hard drive that i use only for the recordings.
The game and windows are on another drive(s).
If you can, please change the record folder to another drive.

You can aslo test to turn of the game mode in windows.
I had some issues with game mode on.
