Hi. I think about buying a PC just for Streaming (maybe sometimes for games, but i think i will go on with my xbox). I have a Macbook Pro 2015, with i7/16GB/Intel Iris Pro 1536. I created everything at streamelements to start my macbook is not good enought for that. Now I read a lot about streaming. Also that there is streamyard and also lightstream, whicht looks nice, but some features are missing. For example to record streams to load up on youtube. That means I think about buying a pc. But what do I need. My feeling says Ryzen 9 with 32GB and an Nvidia Grafic Card. Is that right. Or is Ryzen 7 enought... or what is it that I should look for. The things I will bind to my stream are chrome webbrowser, ndi sources from skype or zoom (1-11), my webcam and maybe a capture card. Maybe someone has a similar setup. Thx

I tested now golightstream, which would be an alternative, but they have to many bugs for a price of 50$ per month. So I think i will use a pc and invite people via skype. What would i need?

I bought a used zBook with i7/32g/SSD/Nvidia GPU and on it OBS handles everything I throw at it. I use virtual cam and very complex screen collections with chroma, etc

Thank you. Had a look at your videos at yt. I think this could be a good setup. But what i dont understand... my macbook is i7. Maybe its because i only have 16gb or because of the bad graphic card... mhhh. I will think about to buy me a pc. Just found out that golightstream also has problems with video and audio when i switch the scenes. Never thought that is so hard to go live on twitch. :) thx for your response.

It’s not the i7, it’s the sub optimal fit between the architecture of OBS and macOS. OBS is architected around some features that either don’t exist or don’t exist in an easily compatible way in MacOS. You can see this even in simple things like UI behavior. Your Mac would probably do fine running boot camp and win10 (although you’d still be hampered by GPU differences.)
