Question / Help Couple questions on v0.47a

Hi all, I've been visiting the forums for quite some time and I'm curious about the new options currently available:

Automatic Low Latency Mode, Not sure if this overrides the option in "Broadcast Settings" or what it does entirely, I just enabled it anyway, since i have Low Latency Mode checked as it is.

Latency Tuning Factor, I kept it on 20, but still I'm not sure what the value indicates.


Just wanted some explanations on the new options. Other than that, this program is so good it should be illegal, just the fact that its free and flexible! :mrgreen:

PS: If anyone is good with Custom x264 Settings, are there any options I can use to lower high motion pixelation? I know it'll always be there but just wonder if a setting like: tune=film or any noise reductions come in mind.

Those are advanced options for fine tuning how low latency mode works. They are ignored unless low latency mode is enabled in the first place. In theory automatic low latency mode will provide the lowest latency, but this may or may not come with an increased risk of frame drops. Generally you shouldn't change these settings unless you're having problems with the default low latency mode.

Ah I see, thanks for the information and quick reply too. I wont mess with these since everything is fine.
Great to know I have options for troubleshooting.
