So me and a friend are trying to record some videos to post to YouTube for fun. He sends me the video after we record it; the video is 11 minutes long and is 5 Gb in size. He did handbrake the video but it ended up being 2GB still. So when I go to try and download this off the Dropbox, it would take over an hour to even get to a .1 GB in progress. He is the one recording with OBS so I don't know a lot of the things you can do with the software, but is anyone able to help me out. It would really help. Thank you.

Nothing seems out of the ordinary on the OBS side. It just looks like your connection to dropbox is terrible.

So you think he should send it to me in a different way to download it easier? Also, it still dosent change the fact that it seems to be way to many gig for an 11 minute video.
Thank you though for replying

Well depending on what Bitrate he is using the File will obviously end up either big or small. But certain Quality results in a certain Filesize thats how it is.

So what type of bit rate would be best for having a good quality while keeping file size down?
