Every time I try to preview or start streaming, I get this error and OBS crashes. I have read every single thread of people having the same problems and have tried every solution that worked for them. None has worked for me. OBS has worked flawlessly in the past.

What I have done already:
Made absolutely sure directx is up to date
A clean install of video card drivers. Even the newest beta ones released on the 7th of this month.

I have made no signifigant changes to my pc from before when OBS work perfectly.

Okay, directx up to date, good. Latest nvidia drivers, good. Update windows as much as humanly possible?

This error feels very unusual for windows 7 and an nvidia. I'm legitimately confused.

No, those don't cause this sort of error to happen. I'm really not sure what to suggest without actually being in front of the computer and doing tests on it. Hm, I really want to try out the opengl version with this at some point. I'm going to make the rewrite use the opengl version of the graphics renderer if the directx version fails like this. Er, sorry, suppose I'm sort of making a mental note there more than anything. We have a rewrite in the works (nearing completion) which can use either directx *or* opengl to render with. I'm fairly sure that the new version will work for you in this case, though it'll end up limiting capture options a bit.

Can you go back to the point where it still works? Older OBS version, older Nvidia drivers, etc?
