So maybe I´m a little dumb and just install updates without really checking if I need too, but anyway I did..

And after installing 30.2.2 (64 bit) I get this message: "Could not find virtual camera. Please try again". obviously when I tried to start the virtual camera.

I normally do this when I start a Zoom session.. if not, I can not use OBS in Zoom..

Anyone got any idea why, or even better a solution for this :-)

I´m on a MacBook Pro M1 macOS 14.5 (23F79)

Marius :-)

It looks like I´m not alone and would be wonderful if someone had a solution to try? :-)

I´m really depending on this having online classe with Zoom and uses OBS to switch camera. :-)

Thanks in advance.

Got it to work, somehow...
First I rolled back to 30.1.2, but virtual camera still won't be available. I then started OBS in safe mode, and now it seems to work, even when I started OBS in normal mode.
When I tried then to update to OBS 30.2.2 again, macOS now asked to allow to install virtual cam in system (Privacy&Security > Security > allow). I'm quite sure this hasn't popped up before while the first try. Now all seems to work properly, MS Teams etc. works also as expected with OBS virtual cam.
Don't know what step exactly makes it working, but those with same prob could give this a try. Don't forget to backup your stuff before :-)

Rolled back to 30.1.2 and all is well. I'm on Sonoma 14.5. Guessing the update isn't compatible.

Every now and then I get the "OBS could not find virtual camera" window. I used OBS this morning, no problem. I tried to open it again for a new meeting an hour later and got the "OBS could not find virtual camera" message. I re-boot my computer and it works again. However, as you can imagine, as you join a zoom meeting and then find out your video feed doesn't work, re-booting your computer cuts you off from the meeting, which isn't ideal.

Mac Studio running Sonoma 14.6.1.

I just had the same thing and went back to OBS 30.1.2 on macOS 14.6.1 and the virutal camera now works. Have not tried later releases to see where it breaks
