Question / Help Could Not Create Directory

Hey, I downloaded OBS today and everything was working fine on my first start up. I closed it down and came back later and the programme wouldn't even open, I kept getting the error message "Couldn't create directory 'C:\Users\Jonny.(secondname)-PC\ApplicationData\OBS'"

I'm not sure why I am getting this error message, I've tried running the programme as Admin and there's no change. Any help would be appreciated.

I actually must admit I don't know why you would get this problem either, there should be no reason why OBS wouldn't be able to create that directory, and no reason why it wouldn't have permission either. It shouldn't be caused by the directory name either, I've never encountered a problem with that before.

Hmm, maybe you'll have to run in portable mode for now. Make a shortcut to OBS, and then right click it, select properties and add -portable to the end of the "Target" line. This will just create all those same folders for settings/logs in the OBS directory instead of the User folder. If it STILL gives you that error, try moving your OBS install to a non-system folder and try again with the portable command.
