I have a Blackmagic Intensity Pro and recently swapped to OBS from XSplit after several recommendations. It does seem a lot better, but I have one current problem. The Intensity Pro only outputs video if a program is open displaying the input, like Media Express or if I'm previewing a stream or have started the stream. I don't want to record all the time, so when I'm not recording I just have the Preview on. However this means when I want to stop recording, I have to restart the preview, which you can't set a hotkey for so it's mildly annoying. XSplit always shows the preview, so I never had this problem.
If anyone has a solution I would love to hear it :)
