Hi, I've been streaming for at least 2 years on this current ISP with no problems, even through a VPN it's always fast and usually zero dropped frames.
In the last week or so it's been dropping a lot of frames, anywhere from 30%-80%, basically unable to stream with that.
I've done a lot of research, and I came across the Twitch Bandwidth Test Tool, and I get 0's pretty much across the board.
The strange thing though, is that I also get 0's on most Twitch servers even while on a VPN... while on different VPN severs on 2 different VPN providers. I have read threads by other people with this similar problem who have said that streaming through a VPN should fix it since it would bypass any issues like throttling with the ISP.
My ISP sent a tech to my home today, he said he couldn't find anything wrong, gave me a new modem, speedtest was fine so he left. Minutes later I kept doing speed tests and I noticed it was struggling again, mostly the upload. I called the tech support line and the lady there said she definitely is seeing issues with my signal being unstable and fluctuating so they are sending out another tech tomorrow.
Based on this info any ideas what is causing my sudden streaming issues? Could it be that my connection is actually having general problems yet to be fixed that are affecting the ability to connect to the Twitch servers both through the regular connection and through VPN connections? Or is it more likely that regardless of speedtests and based on the 0's in the Bandwidth tool that the ISP is either having routing issues to Twitch or actually throttling Twitch?
I would post an OBS log but I haven't done so before and not sure how much I should post because of privacy.
