Question / Help Console via computer

I'm about to order a new screen that supports HDMI/VGA/DVI so I can connect my Wii via VGA and connect it to my computer via DVI. Will I be able to stream my game that is plugged in to the VGA port even though it's connected to my computer via DVI? I'm thinking with the screen capture feature.

Also no, that's not how monitors work. Your computer does not have the magical ability to see what's happening on your monitor, especially not if what's happening on your monitor comes from a completely different device. If this was how monitors worked, they would be a lot more expensive, and capture cards would most likely not exist.
